February 2022- Kaela presented her MSc research at the Canadian Conference for Fisheries Research in Vancouver. Co-Authors: Kieffer and Speers-Roesch. Title: The effects of cold on activity and feeding in Atlantic and shortnose sturgeon.

May 2019- Lauren Rowsey, Ben Speers-Roesch and I presented the following paper at the Canadian Society of Zoologists Annual Meeting in Windsor, Ontario. "Behavioural thermoregulation and metabolic recovery after exhaustive exercise in brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis).". This is the first non-sturgeon work I have done in years!

April 2018- Brittany has accepted a MSc position at the University of Ottawa!
April 2018- Brittany and Miranda both successfully defend their BSc theses!
March 2018- Brittany presented her honours research at Science Atlantic held at Memorial University at Newfoundland.
January 2018- Adam published his research on salinity tolerance and temperature of shortnose sturgeon in Canadian Journal of Zoology- "The Impact of Acute Salinity Exposure and Temperature on the Survival, Osmoregulation, and Hematology of Juvenile Shortnose Sturgeon (Acipenser brevirostrum)" Canadian Journal of Zoology, 2018, 96(8): 913-919. This work was in collaboration with Hannah Wallace and Samantha Taylor who both did their honours research projects in the MADSAM fish lab.
September 2017- Lindsay has been offered a technician position at UNB!
September 2017- Hannah started her Master of Science degree at Memorial University.
May 2017- Adam published his research on swimming performance in shortnose sturgeon which will appear in Conservation Physiology.
May 2017- Lindsay has accepted a part-time position in our lab! Welcome back!
April 2017- Hannah has been selected to be the Valedictorian of her graduating class!!
